Official Rules

“Free Laundry for a Year” Giveaway

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. Void where prohibited. This giveaway is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

1. Sponsor

This giveaway (the “Giveaway”) is sponsored by Rio Laundromat LLC (“Sponsor”), 8328 De Soto Ave, Canoga Park, CA 91304. The Giveaway is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Meta, Facebook, Instagram, Google, or any other platform.

2. Eligibility

The Giveaway is open only to legal residents of the United States who reside in the State of California and are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees, officers, and directors of the Sponsor, and their immediate family members and household members, are not eligible. Void where prohibited by law.

3. Entry period

The Giveaway begins at 12:00 a.m. Pacific Time on [START DATE] and ends at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time on [END DATE] (the “Entry Period”). The Sponsor’s computer is the official time-keeping device for the Giveaway.

4. How to enter

There are two ways to enter, and both have an equal chance of winning:

Online: During the Entry Period, complete the entry form at riolaundromat.com with your name and email address.
Free alternate method (mail-in): Hand-print your full name, address, email, and phone number on a 3" x 5" card and mail it in an envelope with sufficient postage to: Rio Laundromat Giveaway, 8328 De Soto Ave, Canoga Park, CA 91304. Mail-in entries must be postmarked during the Entry Period and received within 7 days of the end of the Entry Period.

Limit one (1) entry per person for the entire Entry Period, regardless of method. Duplicate entries will be disqualified. Entries that are incomplete, illegible, or contain false information are void.

5. Winner selection and odds

One (1) potential winner will be selected in a random drawing from all eligible entries received on or about [DRAWING DATE]. The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.

6. Prize

One (1) prize: free laundry service at Rio Laundromat for one (1) year, in the form of [PRIZE DESCRIPTION — e.g. $X in wash credit or a set weekly allowance]. Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”): [$ ARV]. The prize is non-transferable and may not be substituted or redeemed for cash, except that the Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. All costs and expenses not specified as part of the prize are the winner’s responsibility.

If the ARV of the prize is $600 or more, the winner will be required to complete an IRS Form W-9 and will be issued an IRS Form 1099; the winner is solely responsible for all applicable federal, state, and local taxes.

7. Winner notification

The potential winner will be notified by email and/or phone using the contact information provided at entry, within 5 business days of the drawing. The potential winner may be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, a Liability Release, and (where lawful) a Publicity Release within 7 days of notification. If a potential winner cannot be contacted, does not respond within the required time, is found to be ineligible, or fails to return required documents, the prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner selected.

8. Publicity

Except where prohibited, by accepting the prize the winner grants the Sponsor permission to use the winner’s first name, city of residence, and likeness for advertising and promotional purposes without further compensation.

9. General conditions

By entering, each entrant agrees to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding in all matters. The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Giveaway, or acting in violation of these Official Rules. The Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Giveaway if fraud, technical failure, or any factor beyond the Sponsor’s reasonable control impairs its integrity, in which case a winner will be selected from eligible entries received prior to the action.

10. Limitation of liability

By entering, entrants release and hold harmless the Sponsor and its affiliates from any and all liability for any loss, harm, damage, injury, cost, or expense arising out of participation in the Giveaway or the acceptance, use, or misuse of the prize.

11. Privacy

Information collected from entrants is subject to the Sponsor’s Privacy Policy and will be used to administer the Giveaway and, where the entrant has opted in, to send marketing communications.

12. Governing law

These Official Rules are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.

13. Winner list

For the name of the winner, send a self-addressed stamped envelope within 30 days after the drawing to: Rio Laundromat Giveaway — Winner Request, 8328 De Soto Ave, Canoga Park, CA 91304, or email riolaundromat@gmail.com.
